[Opticians] The Hot Sheet

Due to the increase in the number of stolen eyeglass frames in our
stores, the OAW board has approved our email system as a "hot sheet" to
track the frames down. The way it will work is this: If you can identify
a particular frame that has "walked" out of your shop, send the
particulars (Mfg, model, size, color), any pictures you may have of it,
and the date and area to me. You will also need to report the loss to
your local police. I will send it out on the email list. If you see a
listed frame come into your shop, call your local police and tell them
where you believe it was stolen from. They will handle it from there.
You could get your merchandise back, and at the very least the perp
could be charged with possession of stolen property. This worked quite
well for Kendall Hatley in Walla Walla recently. Since we're here to
serve our members, we will be more than happy to help you!
Thank you,
