Greetings from Texas! The opticians and public of Texas need your help. We have started a petition for voicing the need for state licensure of Texas opticians. The public deserves to have quality and knowledgeable professionals taking care of their personal visual needs. Opticians perform critical geometric and anatomic measurements to achieve optimal vision and comfort for their patients.
How you can help:
By signing the petition, you show unity in the basic need for state licensure. Without licensure, the public gets inconsistent, and sometimes inferior products and/or services. The Opticians Association of Ohio have already shown their support by sending out an E-blast to all their members.

But I don’t live in Texas:
It doesn’t matter where you live, your voice will be heard! This isn’t a regional issue, this is a common sense issue. ALL state need licensure. But we need to unify our efforts. Lets get Texas on board with licensure, other states will follow. There’s only 22 states with licensure, the last, Ohio, in ‘79. Isn’t it time for opticianry to move forward? The future is in your hands, I hope you’ll join us in insuring a better future for the public of Texas. Thank You!
