Hiring for Optician Opportunities at Nordstrom, Downtown Seattle.

available to work a flexible schedule that includes daytime, evening, 
weekend, and holiday shifts. 
Responsibilities:
. Fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, following prescription 
written by ophthalmologist or optometrist
. Examine prescription to determine lens specifications
. Measure customer eyes, including distance between centers 
of pupils, distance between the eye surface and lens, bridge and 
eye size, temple length, vertex distance, and papillary distance
. Recommend eyeglass, frames, lenses, lens coatings after 
considering prescription and customers occupational, habits, and 
facial features
. Provide ophthalmic laboratory information to grind and insert 
lens, lens size, materials, color, and style
. Verify finished lenses are ground to specification
Qualifications:
. Pass state written & practical examinations
. 3 years apprenticeship, or,
. 2 years at approved optician program, or 
. 5 years practicing optician in other state
. 18 years of age
. $15.00-$19.00 plus 2% commission based on experience
